Mind Mapping

In Wikipedia, the definition of mind map is “A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea. Mind maps are used to generate, visualize, structure, and classify ideas, and as an aid in study, organization, problem solving, decision making, and writing.

The elements of a given mind map are arranged intuitively according to the importance of the concepts, and are classified into groupings, branches, or areas, with the goal of representing semantic or other connections between portions of information. Mind maps may also aid recall of existing memories.”

In studies, I used mind map to easy my note. Using mind map to short the note and understand it more. I can’t remember the long essay note that lecture gave but I usually take key word in that note and create a mind map. By doing mind map, I remember it more; because I have to understand the note 1st then I can find the keyword.

personal reflection:
today class is about mind mapping. a lot of image that the lecturer shows that relate to mind map. Although i know about mind map before this but the lecturer teach on how to create mind map that can be presentable and from my understanding, hireaky is very important. next thing that need to be consider when doing mind map is the color of font or how we arrange the word, avoid arrange the word in horizontal way because it is hard for audience to read it.
