Last session in creative studies class, Mr Radzi Bedu and Mr Yap Sao Bin gave lecture on Defining Creative. The question that Mr Yap Sao Bin asked and the lecture that he gave make me realize that we don’t need to be smart or special or talent to become creative. When I think about the question of Mr Yap Sao Bin ask, I think the most creative person is our mum. It’s because when she cook, she know how to make the food taste delicious and when she decorate the house, it very comfortable to live inside it.
In Wikipedia, creative means “Creativity is a mental and social process involving the discovery of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the creative mind between existing ideas or concepts. Creativity is fueled by the process of either conscious or unconscious insight. An alternative conception of creativeness (based on its etymology) is that it is simply the act of making something new.” From my understanding, anyone can be creative. Just by simple idea, you can achieve being creative.
In my own opinion about creativity is that being creative to make our life easier. That because I like a simple thing yet useful. For me, Ikea is places that have a lot of unique and creative idea. All the designer is a creative person because of the design. They design item to assist human in daily life.
personal reflection:
The 1st class for creative studies. Personally I like the topic because the topic is about anyone can be creative. I also like how the lecturer interactive with the students:D...the topic make me think how a mother can be so creative when it come to deco the house or in cooking...:)
